Haskap pictures - February 2010

Many pictures labelled as Haskap are actually photographs of old Edible Blue Honeysuckle varieties. Only two varieties of Haskap are currently available in Canada - Borealis and Tundra. Pictures of these two varieties are available on Flickr.

Notice of Annual General Meeting

Haskap Canada Association AGM will be held

Saturday February 20th, 2010,
10:00 AM to 2:30 PM in
Room 2E25 Agriculture Building
University of Saskatchewan
Saskatoon, SK.

There will be a cost of $20 for all attendants to cover the cost of lunch, wine and product samples.

New Feasibility Study - Haskap Market Development -The Japanese Opportunity- Feasibility Study - August 2007

Results of a Haskap Market Development study by Dr. Éric B. Lefol for Parkland Agroforestry Products Inc. and Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food is available.

Eric traveled to Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, and the main production area in the world, to draw a picture of the present haskap market. This study attempts to assess the potential for Canadian haskap to be marketed in Japan.
